Battle Royal for a future Championship Match featuring Tamina, The IIconics, Alicia Fox, Nia Jax, Zelina Vega, Torrie Wilson, Alundra Blayze, Lana, Carmella, Mandy Rose, Asuka, Sonya Deville, Nia Jax, Michelle McCool, Ivory, Molly Holly, Maria Kanellis, Kelly Kelly and more.

The competitors each had their own entrance.  Big pops for McCool and Madusa.  They noted it was a big moment for Vega as her father (who passed away on 9/11) used to bring her to the Nassau Coliseum.     They showed Miz, Maryse, MIke Kanellis, Jimmy Uso and R-Truth at ringside watching.

The IIconics got to do mic work during their entrance, making fun of Long Island accents.  They noted they see some of the greatest who ever laced up the boots and some of their heroes tonight who paved the way.  So, they are going to pave the way for them back to obscurity by tossing them back over the top.  Everyone grabbed them and tossed them over the top.  That was great.

The current stars circled around the older names and attacked them.  Absolution teamed to eliminate Holly.  Zelina tried to toss Maria.  Absolution teamed to eliminate Kelly and Wilson.  They are doing a nice job spotlighting Deville and Mandy.  Rose then turned on her own partner, knocking her off the apron.  Blayze was eliminated by Nia.  She had just hit a nice double clothesline on Naomi and another talent.  Maria tried to take the fight to Nia, and then nailed Tamina in the corner.  She nailed a Bronco Buster on Tamina.  Jax nailed her with a headbutt and tossed out Maria.

Zelina worked over Tamina in the corner but ate a superkick.  Tamina and Jax faced off, then instead attacked everyone else in the ring, teaming together.  They then faced off again.  Lana got in between them (the second time she set up for that spot, so she was early the first time) and slapped them but ended up tossed.  Everyone attacked Tamina and Jax, setting up a multi-person suplex spot that got a big reaction live.

Carmella stood above everyone and began dancing, complete with music.  Ivory joined her.  Mandy grabbed Ivory and tossed her over the top to the apron.  Carmella grabbed Rose and tossed her over the top as Ivory pulled the ropes down.  Dana Brooke was tossed over by Ember and looked to hit her ribs or her hip hard on the apron.    Carmella was worked over on the top rope by McCool.  McCool then hit Moon with a big boot.  McCool went for the Styles Clash but Moon backdropped her over the top and superkicked her off the apron.

Tamina tossed Naomi over the top as she charged her for a move.  Ivory worked over Asuka with a Facebuster.  Moon and Jax battled, with Moon nailing a DDT.  Carmella and Moon battled.  Moon elevated her over the top and drilled her with a forearm, knocking her to the floor.

It came down to Ivory, Asuka, Tamina, Ember and Nia.  Ivory was knocked off the top to the apron by Asuka.  They battled and Asuka nailed a hip attack to send her to the floor.  Asuka and Moon faced off and the place went nuts chanting for NXT.  They went back and forth until Asuka got tossed out.  Tamina went for a superkick but Moon blocked it.  Tamina snatched her and nailed a spinning side slam.   Nia went to get involved but Tamina nailed a superkick.  Nassau chanted “Let’s go Ember.”

Ember came back and nailed the Eclipse off the top and tossed her over the top.

The final two are Nia and Ember.  Moon charged but Jax blasted her down to the mat.    The crowd chanted for Ember.  She was sent to the apron but grabbed Jax in a submission, pulling her over the ropes.  Zelina Vega returned and blasted both, knocking them to the apron and acted like she won, not realizing they didn’t hit the floor.  Nia returned, pressed and tossed Vega to the floor, crashing into Tamina, who was still at ringside.

Moon attacked Nia and nailed several clotheslines.  Nia came back to wipe her out and tossed Moon over the top.

Your winner, Nia Jax!

WWE Super Show-Down Preview: Asuka & Naomi vs. The IIconics
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: News, Pay-Per-Views

At WWE Super Show-DownThe IIconics will have an opportunity back up their claim that they are the trendsetters for the future of SmackDown LIVE when they take on Asuka and Naomi in tag team action.

The tension between these Superstars has boiled for quite some time. Earlier this year, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce shocked the WWE Universe when they defeatedBecky Lynch and Asuka in a tag team bout. If that wasn’t enough of a reason to brag, the besties went on to also gloat that they were the first Superstars to beat Asuka on SmackDown LIVE.

From there, The IIconics set their crosshairs on another former Women’s Champion, Naomi, who also fell victim to the pair’s dubious numbers game. But, when the nefarious duo attacked their glowing adversary after she scored a huge win over Royce, The Empress of Tomorrow came to Naomi’s aid and sent the IIconics packing.

At WWE Super Show-Down, it’ll be an even playing field as Asuka and Naomi take on The IIconics. Can Royce and Kay pull out an IIconic moment in Melbourne, or will they learn a lesson or two from The Glow and The Empress of Tomorrow? Find out at WWE Super Show-Down on Saturday, Oct. 6, from the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network!

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay interrupt Peter and say that is enough chit chat about the Women’s Title Match.  Billie reminds everyone that they beat Asuka in her first match on Smackdown.  Peyton asks Billie to remind everyone of that.  They say they are better than Asuka.

Renee asks them about the Smackdown title match.  Billie says it feels like she has met Peter before.  Peyton does her impression of Peter.  Peyton says she is interested in the title match because they like Carmella.  Billie says she is Maj.  Billie says Backlash could possibly become ICONIC.

Inaugural WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

We go to the ring and Lilian Garcia introduces WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix as the guest commentator. She joins Corey Graves and Michael Cole. Paige is also with them and she says hopefully she will be in the match next year. Lilian introduces Becky Lynch first and out she comes. We see the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal trophy at ringside. Out next come the rest of the female Superstars together – Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Lana, WWE NXT Superstars, Lana, Natalya, Mickie James and many others.

Bayley is out next with her own entrance as the ring is filled up with the first group that came out. Back from a break and Sasha Banks is getting her own entrance. The bell rings and Carmella raises her Money In the Bank briefcase in the middle of the ring. Everyone attacks her and she gets sent to the apron but hangs on. Sonya Deville eliminates Carmella. It looks like Dana Brooke is getting ganged up on next. Dana gets eliminated by Deville and Mandy Rose. Chaos breaks out next as everyone goes at it. Taynara Conti works on Rose. Peyton Royce, Kavita Devi, Conti, Dakota Kai, Bianca Belair and Kairi Sane stand tall as the WWE NXT group. Fans chant NXT. Becky goes after Kavita. Mandy gets eliminated. Belair goes to the top and hits a big 450 on Kai. Deville gets eliminated by Conti. We go to a break.

Back from a break and Sane gets eliminated but she did hit her Insane Elbow to Ruby Riott during the break. Lana gets eliminated. Kavita gets eliminated by Sarah Logan. Conti gets eliminated next. Natalya gets some offense in and shows off but The Riott Squad attacks her. Natalya with a double suplex on Ruby and Logan. Sasha and Bayley team up to eliminate Natalya and then Liv, then ruby. Logan attacks Sasha from behind and fights off Bayley.

Logan brawls with Sasha and stays on the apron. Bayley runs over and knocks Logan off, eliminating her. Sasha and Bayley stare each other down as what looks like the last two. Fans pop as they get back to their feet. Bayley almost falls for a shake but she eliminates Banks instead for a big pop. Bayley stands tall like she’s won and fans cheer but Naomi comes back in as she never went over the top, just under the bottom rope. Naomi hits Bayley with a Rear View and goes on to eliminate her for the win.

Winner: Naomi
