Wrestlemania Preview: Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Women’s Ta...

As the first bearers of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Sasha Banks & Bayley have vowed to defend their titles anywhere against anyone. And at WrestleMania, they will indeed face just about everyone when they square off against the up-and-coming IIconics, the dominant Nia Jax & Tamina and two Superstars who helped pave the way for the Women’s Evolution, Beth Phoenix & Natalya, in a Fatal 4-Way Match.

The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection made history by outlasting five of WWE’s best female tandems in a grueling Elimination Chamber to become the inaugural champions, and they followed up that emotional triumph by overcoming Nia Jax & Tamina at WWE Fastlane in their first title defense. Together, they have thrown down the gantlet to all potential challengers as they set out to prove themselves as fighting champions and establish a proud legacy.

However, at The Showcase of the Immortals, legacy itself will be standing in their way. Known as the “Divas of Doom” when they teamed up several years ago, The Queen of Harts & The Glamazon ran roughshod over their fellow Superstars during a dominant run just prior to the Women’s Evolution. The other six Superstars will undoubtedly have their hands full against Natalya & Beth, who used an impressive range of painful submission holds to fold their opponents like accordions during their first go-round as partners.

If that wasn’t enough, the match will include the ultra-dangerous Australian tag team of Billie Kay & Peyton Royce, who not only have the natural chemistry that comes from having known each other since high school, but have also proven themselves to be the real deal week in and week out. The deadly Australians even claimed a non-title victory over the champions on the March 19 edition of SmackDown LIVE. Without a doubt, WrestleMania could prove to be their moment of destiny.

Although Nia Jax & Tamina came up short against Bayley & Banks WWE Fastlane, they made the titleholders suffer in a brutal post-match assault that allowed them to walk out as anything but losers. They reminded the WWE Universe and their fellow Superstars why they are dominance personified and stand as the near-perfect combination of power and ruthlessness. Although the intimidating combination did not etch their place in history as the first titleholders, they have made it clear that they will stop at nothing to become the definitive champions on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Will Bayley & Banks have what it takes to overcome the past, present and future? Don’t miss WrestleMania, Sunday, April 7, streaming live the award-winning WWE Network at 7 ET/4 PT!

As first announced by five-time Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss during her Raw talk show “A Moment of Bliss,” the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions will be determined inside the dreaded Elimination Chamber at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on Sunday, Feb. 17.

The contest will feature three teams from Raw and three teams from SmackDown LIVE. Nia Jax Taminaearned their way into the match with a victory over Bliss & Mickie James on Raw the night after the Royal Rumble event. Later that night, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan joined them in the contest by taking down Natalya & Dana Brooke.

The following night on SmackDown LIVE, Mandy RoseSonya Deville became the first blue brand team to be officially accepted into the Elimination Chamber. Over the following weekend, The IIconics’ Billie Kay & Peyton Royce tweeted that they had also been accepted into the match. Which other duos will join these elite tandems inside one of sports-entertainment’s most nightmarish structures?

Get your tickets for the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in Houston’s Toyota Center at www.HoustonToyotaCenter.com.

It was extremely fitting that the announcement was made by The Goddess of WWE, as Bliss won the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber Match in 2018, toppling five other Superstars and successfully defending the Raw Women’s Championship inside the career-altering combat zone that debuted in 2002.

This time around, two teams will start the bout while the remaining four duos remain enclosed in pods. At specified intervals, a pod will open at random, enabling a new team to enter the match. This will continue until all six pairs have joined the bout. If one member of a team gets eliminated at any time via pinfall or submission, both members of the team are eliminated and must leave the contest. The last tag team standing will be declared the winner and the first-ever Women’s Tag Teams Champions.

Who will make history? Find out at WWE Elimination Chamber, Sunday, Feb. 17, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT on WWE Network!

WWE Super Show-Down Preview: Asuka & Naomi vs. The IIconics
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: News, Pay-Per-Views

At WWE Super Show-DownThe IIconics will have an opportunity back up their claim that they are the trendsetters for the future of SmackDown LIVE when they take on Asuka and Naomi in tag team action.

The tension between these Superstars has boiled for quite some time. Earlier this year, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce shocked the WWE Universe when they defeatedBecky Lynch and Asuka in a tag team bout. If that wasn’t enough of a reason to brag, the besties went on to also gloat that they were the first Superstars to beat Asuka on SmackDown LIVE.

From there, The IIconics set their crosshairs on another former Women’s Champion, Naomi, who also fell victim to the pair’s dubious numbers game. But, when the nefarious duo attacked their glowing adversary after she scored a huge win over Royce, The Empress of Tomorrow came to Naomi’s aid and sent the IIconics packing.

At WWE Super Show-Down, it’ll be an even playing field as Asuka and Naomi take on The IIconics. Can Royce and Kay pull out an IIconic moment in Melbourne, or will they learn a lesson or two from The Glow and The Empress of Tomorrow? Find out at WWE Super Show-Down on Saturday, Oct. 6, from the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network!

A new NXT Women’s Champion will be crowned at TakeOver: Houston when Kairi Sane,Ember Moon, Peyton Royce and SAnitY’s Nikki Cross do battle in a Fatal 4-Way Match for the vacant title.

For weeks, the NXT Universe watched with baited breath as new contenders qualified for the hotly anticipated title showdown, which determines Asuka’s successor as the NXT Women’s Champion.

Asuka’s countrymate, Kairi Sane of Japan, was the first Superstar named to the match. The Pirate Princess, a newcomer to NXT, earned the right after triumphing in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. Royce and Moon both qualified by claiming victories in Triple Threat Matches, while Cross earned her berth by winning a massive Battle Royal on the Oct. 25 edition of NXT.

The NXT Women’s Title has been vacant since Asuka chose to relinquish the championship on Sept. 6, bringing a close to The Empress of Tomorrow’s historic 523-day reign.

With the table finally set for what’s destined to be an epic encounter, the only thing left to do is count down the days until TakeOver: Houston. Witness history in the making when the next edition of NXT’s critically acclaimed TakeOver series streams live Saturday, Nov. 18, at 8 ET/5 PT, exclusively on the award-winning WWE Network.

NXT TakeOver: San Antonio Preview: Fatal 4-Way Match
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: News, WWE.com

NXT Women’s Champion Asuka will face arguably her toughest challenge yet on Saturday, Jan. 28, at TakeOver: San Antonio, when she puts her coveted championship on the line against Nikki Cross, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce in a Fatal 4-Way Match.

Since her arrival at NXT, The Empress of Tomorrow has been unbeatable, recently passing Paige as the longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion ever. There have been questions about which NXT competitor could present a worthy challenge for Asuka’s title. Well, we now know that it’s not one, but three Superstars who are up for the task.

Billie Kay and Peyton Royce have long run rampant in NXT, creating chaos as they continue to claim being in control of the Women’s division. On the Jan. 11 edition of NXT, the devious duo made their move toward the title by attacking Asuka outside Full Sail University before the show. The unwavering titleholder attempted to gain retribution later that night, but was overcome by the vicious Australian Superstars.

In a surprising move, the wild Nikki Cross entered the fray, clearing the ring of Kay and Royce before turning her sinister sights on the champion. As the crazed Cross stood over Asuka, it became clear that the champion had multiple challengers aiming for her title.

Asuka – who remained undeterred by the immense challenge ahead of her – demanded a match against all three of the NXT Superstars who attacked her. General Manager William Regal granted the titleholder her wish, and nowit will be Asuka, Cross, Kay and Royce in a Fatal 4-Way Match at TakeOver: San Antonio for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Since the first Superstar to claim a pinfall wins the contest and becomes NXT Women’s Champion, Asuka finds herself at a severe disadvantage in this title contest. Not only does the champion have to compete against three challengers, but she doesn’t even have to be involved in the fall to lose her title. As a result, the spirited champion’s record-breaking title reign will be in serious jeopardy in the Lone Star State.

Will a new NXT Women’s Champion be crowned at TakeOver: San Antonio? Find out on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, only on WWE Network.
